AUSCOAL Super well positioned to ride out market turmoil. Trustee continues to closely monitor the situation

Many members will be aware of the unprecedented, significant investment turmoil that is gripping world financial markets

On the surface, Australia's economy still appears robust. Unemployment is low and inflation is still sitting at an acceptable limit. Unlike the US, Australia has a sound banking system. Australia has also shown that whilst the US is a strong influence our economy is not coupled as strongly to the US as has been in the past.

However, AUSCOAL Super's investment advisors hold the view that volatility will remain high. This is expected to possibly materialise into stable or lower equity prices over the short to medium term.
